It’s been our 3rd week of training, Charlotte taught us to bat 360 degrees. We hit various areas using multiple shots. It will help us respond to field placements and allow us to play wiser. We had a little competition between Emma and I, I completed the game in 21 balls, but Emma just beat me getting the total in 19 balls. My weakness was hitting to the fine leg and third man areas.

For our bowling session, we a played the game called "bowling inside the box". We bowled an over each challenging each other as to who could bowl and land as many balls in “the box” as possible. From Adam's observations, I need to stay tall and be confident. Some of the balls were too short but I saw a huge improvement after the session.

For our club game on Sunday, we played Aldershot CC which was a strong batting team. Naomi scored a century in the first innings and we made a total of 191. Despite Aldershot CC winning, our coach was happy with our performance and attitude. I believed we will continue to improve during the next game.

One of the challenges in UK is cooking for ourselves! We made Ribena Chicken Wings before Emma went to Malaysia. It didn’t look great but tasted great!

After two weeks of training with the professional coaches, I have learnt a lot and can see the progress I have made in a short time.

In our spin bowling session, Adam gave us a specific target to bowl at and we had a little competition with Heiley. I enjoyed it as it was challenging but also fun. During batting, we targeted eight zones. Charlotte and Georgia set up the bowling machine and we needed to move our feet to different lines and use various shots to hit the ball to each zone in a specific order. We failed a few times, and might have got hit too, but as they say, no pain no gain!

This week I’m flying to Malaysia to join up with the Hong Kong squad as we prepare to play in the Asia Cup Qualifiers. I’m very excited for the tour and putting my skills to practice, but I am also looking forward to coming back and finishing my season in the UK.
