22/06/2025 Cricket & Road Trips

The week started with an early 3-hour drive for Maryam to play a 40-over match! She had a great bowling spell—4 overs, 2 wickets for just 15 runs. Meanwhile, Kary had her own match—batting didn’t go as planned, but she made up for it with the ball, taking 1 wicket for 10 runs in 5 overs. A solid start to the week!
23/06/2025 Exploring Winchester
A well-deserved rest day! We explored Winchester and stumbled upon a beautiful river and a hiking spot. The view from the top was breathtaking—we could see the whole of Winchester! To top it off, we lay down on the grass, soaking in the peace and feeling connected to Mother Earth.

24/06/2025 The Training Mix-Up*
Another rest day… or so we thought! Kary was convinced she had training, so we visited Kirah briefly before heading to Aldershot Club. Turns out, Kary misread the schedule—training was on Thursday, not Tuesday! We laughed it off, went back to Kirah’s, and enjoyed some delicious Indonesian noodles that instantly transported us back to HK. Later, we cooked some Chinese food at home—comfort meals for the win!

25/06/2025 1-on-1 Practice & Beach Trip
Today was all about refining our skills. Nancy guided us through 1-on-1 sessions—Kary worked on her scoop shots while Bibi focused on bowling drills. After training, we headed to the beach with Kirah, indulging in classic fish & chips and ice cream. The sea breeze, laughter, and good food made it a perfect evening!

26/06/2025 Dumplings & Smashed Thumbs

We gathered at Kirah’s
place to make Chinese
dumplings—so much fun
(and so tasty!). After our
little feast, we headed to
Kary’s training session.
Things got intense when Kary smashed a ball straight into Bibi’s thumb! A quick fix later, and Bibi was back in action—thankfully, it wasn’t too serious.

27/06/2025-28/06/2025 Net Bowling & London Hangout*
We had a net session with the Vipers team. Since most of the England players were away for a tournament against India, it was a younger squad—good practice, but not as intense. Post-training, we took a trip to London to meet some HK teammates! Yaz, Dan, Aunm, and Ruchi joined us for a fun evening playing Sixers at a bar.
The next day we decided to relax after exploring Oxford all day, so we headed to the mini golf and beach. Bibi won the mini golf

“championship “ so Kary bought a ice cream 🍨 After it , we drove 1.5 hrs to Knoll
Beach Studland . The icy water was refreshing, and it acted as more of a recovery activity for us. We also enjoyed the lovely scenery and the chilly ferry ride to the main beach.
Our last day of the week was all about relaxation. We met up with Yaz and her friends for a lovely picnic—good food, great company, and a fun game of volleyball. Kary drove us back to Winchester, ending the week on a high note.
